Broccoli Stir Fry

Broccoli is from cabbage family and is related to cauliflower. Broccoli,which means branch or arm,a reflection of its tree-like shape that features a compact head of florets attached by small stems to a larger stalk.Steaming broccoli is more nutritional,and don't overcook which looses their beneficial effects.

Health Benifits:Detoxification,Anti-Inflammatory,Improves Vitamin D Deficiency,High in Fiber,Increases Eye Health,Support Skin Health and Repair,High in Potassium,Rich in Vitamin C,Calcium Rich,Decreases Blood Sugar Levels,High in Protein,Helps To Prevent Heart Disease.

Broccoli is new to me when i came to Oman.When we think about diet new items r introduced to our cooking list,in that way we choose broccoli.Simple to cook,you can add this veggie to salads.Veggie that is green,red.yellow colour has more health benefits. 

Thats it : Seeding – Broccoli Fry
Cooking Time:15mins    serves:2 persons         

1 Medium size / 2 Cups
Onion Big
1 chopped
Green chilli/sambar powder
1 / 1tsp
½ tsp
Olive/Seesame Oil
1 tsp
1 tsp
2 tbsp
Coconut (optional)
2 tbsp grated

1.Take the broccoli and cut it as a small florets and wash under running water..

 2.Then cut the florets lengthwise.

3.Heat a kadai,add oil, mustard ,when it splutters, add garlic, green chilli,onion fry for a minute then add broccoli and give a stir.close with a lid for two mins.now you see the bright green colour florets and check the stem if it is cooked.Then add salt. 

You can mix the coarsely grinded mixture of Coconut,green chilli,cumin seeds,which is our Indian Style.
