Sweet Potato / Veg dumpling (Indo-chinese)

Vegetable dumpling is a deep fried crispy veg ball, served with sauce.


The local HyperMarket conducted Cookery Contest and i filled the form.Unfortunately i missed that they are not called my name for the Final Contest. I was ready with this recipe.



 But My Man and friends loved this dish.So as usual veg dumpling is also approved by My Man to my blog space.

Veg Dumpling Recipe :
Thats it:  Cook veggies  -  Deep Fry Veg balls  -  Sauce
Cooking Time :40mins
Serves : 4Persons


Ingredients:
Veggies
2Cups{carrot,peas,beans,potato,sweet potato,cauliflower,mushroom}
Bread Crumbs / Bread
½ Cup / 3
Corn flour
3 ½ tbsp
Pepper powder
½ tsp
Ginger Garlic paste
1tsp
oil
2tbsp and for deep fry
Garlic
6 Cloves chopped
Spring Onion
2tbsp white and green part
Green chillies
1 chopped(de-seeded)
Chilli sauce
1tsp
Tomato sauce
3tbsp
Soy sauce
3 tsp
Sugar
1tsp
Salt
as req


Procedure:
a) Vegetable Balls
1. Wash and chop the veggies ,i include Sweet potato too.Pressure cook the veggies with very little water for One whistle with high-flame.Drain the water and keep aside.(OR fry all the veggies in 2 tbsp of oil on medium flame)


2. In a bowl ,add chopped garlic,spring onion,green chillies,veggies,ginger garlic paste,corn flour (2tbsp), bread crumbs, soy sauce,salt and mix well.


3.Apply oil to hands and divide the mixture into small balls.Deep fry the veg balls in medium flame till golden brown and drain that in tissues.

b)Tomato-Garlic Sauce:
4.In a fry pan,add oil, garlic ,onion ,spring onion ,green chilli and fry for 2 mins.To this add tomato sauce,chili sauce ,soy sauce ,sugar ,pepper powder ,veggies boiled water with corn flour(1.5 tbsp) and boil it.Keep stirring and Switch off the flame after it thickens.Add pepper powder.

  
Tomato-Garlic Sauce:
Garnish with Spring Onion.


Serve the Veg balls with tangy sauce.



 Notes:
1.I used sweet potato with veggies.You can prepare with your veg choice.
2.Serve the sauce while serving to retain crunchiness of the veg balls.
3.Frying the Veggies tastes well than boiled veggies.
4.Use Bread Crumbs OR Breads (Trim the edges and dip into the water and drain it)
