Carrot Halwa / Kajar ka Halwa

Carrot Halwa is one of the easiest sweet dishes.Everyone loves to prepare this carrot halwa as it is so easy.Very happy to share this sweet dish as My 50th Post in my Blog.From tomorrow ,Happy Women’s Book stepping into other interesting chapter with useful information like Home Remedies,Parenting,Beauty(Home Parlour),Arts & Crafts and so on.

Once in a month i prepared this yummy dish for sure and this is My Little Prince’s favourite dish. He fully emptied the bowl without running and the happiest part is,he says,”Very...Tasty” for every scoop.I Love to hear ... .Make a habit of including carrot into your kids diet either with dishes (Sambar,poriyal,sweet,Juice) Or Cook seperately and sprinkle salt,pepper.

Carrot Halwa Recipe :
Thats it : Grate Carrots – Cook,add Mik/Sugar – Simmer
Cooking Time :
Stove-Top : 40 mins (including grating)
Serves  : 3 Persons

Ingredients :

3 Cups
2 Cups
1 Cup
Cardamom pdr
 ¼ tsp  (opt)
Orange Food Colour
2 pinches(opt)
2 tbsp
2 tbsp

Procedure :
# Wash carrots,cut head and tail part using knife ,peel off the skin using peeler.Grate carrots finely using grator or by food processor.Keep the ingredients ready.

1.Heat a pan,add 1 tbsp of ghee, fry cashews till brown colour and keep aside.

2.In the same pan,add a pinch of salt ,grated carrots and fry till raw smell leaves,now it became lesser in volume.

3.Now add milk , cook until carrot turns soft (8mins) and carrot obsorbs all the milk.[You can pressure cook for 3 whistles]

4.Now add sugar and mix well.Initially sugar dissolves and the mixture became watery.Stir now and then ,it became thick(7mins).

5.Cook till the halwa emits ghee and now it leaves the sides of the pan,looking shiny texture.This is the correct stage for making halwa.Add fried cahews ,cardamom and mix well.

Carrot Halwa is ready...!

Serve Hot Or Chill.
Notes :
1.You can add a tbsp of condensed milk,panneer with milk to get richer taste.
2.Fry grated carrots till the raw smell leaves.    
3.Add sugar after carrot cooked well as soft and obsorbs all the milk otherwise it takes too much time.
4.After frying,You can also pressure cook carrots with milk(3rd step) for 2 whistles then proceed the same steps.
5.Adding Food colour is optional(i didnt used).You can add with milk.
