Watermelon Juice


Health Benifits :


Watermelon : Watermelon  contains thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B-6, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, choline, lycopene and betaine. According to the National Watermelon Promotion Board, watermelon contains more lycopene than any other fruit or vegetable.
Lemon : antiseptic,aids digestion,great source of vitamin C,calcium,magnesium,bioflavonoids.
Honey : antibacterial,antioxidant,antitumor,anti-flammatory,and antiviral.
Ginger : antiviral,anti-inflammatory,aids digestion,effective against human respiratory syncytial virus.

How to Choose ?




# CUTTING :If you are purchasing a pre-cut watermelon pieces that has already been sliced into halves or quarters,choose the flesh that is deepest in colour and lacks any white streahing. If the cut watermelon piece is seeded,the seeds should also be deep in colour,or white.
# COLOUR :The top and the bottom of a watermelon are worth to examine.

# WEIGHT :When purchasing a whole,uncut watermelon,the first thing is its weight.Heaviness in the watermelon is a good thing because the water content of a watermelon will typically increase along with ripening and it has 90% water in terms of weight.   
# CHECK BY THUMB : A fully ripened watermelon will have a deeper,hollower “bass” sound than solid and shallow “soprano” sound.

Watermelon Juice Recipe :
Thats it : Cut by pieces – Blend – Serve Chill
Preparation Time : 5mins 
Serves         : 2Persons

Ingredients :




Watermelon Pieces
4 Cups
Sugar / Honey
2tbsp / 3tbsp
Water
½ Cup
Lemon
½
Ginger
½ “inch

Preparation :
1.Cut watermelon and slice fruit,keep aside.


2.In blender,add 2 Cups of watermelon pcs,sugar ,1/4 Cup water ,Squeeze lemon through strainer to avoid seeds,ginger.Give it a pulse grind for 4 times.Extract the juice using strainer.
 

    (Do the process again  for another 2 Cups of fruit)

3.Now add honey (if you are not using sugar) to juice .Mix well.

Watermelon Juice is Ready...!


Add Ice cubes,Serve chilled.


Notes :
1.Use any one of the ing. from lemon,ginger,honey for the better taste and health.
2.Adding Lemon is to compensate seed’s bitterness while grinding.
3.This juice is not suitable for cold,cough,flu....even though its a no-ice version.
