Sweet Corn Pulao

Sweet Corn Pulao is very simple to prepare and yummy to taste.Perfect recipe for kids lunch box.Both the corn pulao and steamed corn is My Little Prince favourite so sweet corn is always in my freezer.It goes well with any fry,i always served with Gobi 65.

Sweet Corn Pulao Recipe :
Thats it : Tempering – Add Rice – Pressure Cook
Cooking Time : 30mins
Serves : 2persons

Ingredients :
Oil
1tsp
Ghee / Butter
1tbsp
Cinnamon / Pattai
small inch
Cloves / Krambu
2nos.
Cardamom / Elakkai
1pod
Bay leaf / Briyani leaf
1
Cashews (optional)
2tbsp (broken)
Green chilli
1
GingerGarlic paste
1tsp
Big Onion
1chopped
Mint / coriander leaves
12leaves
Sweet Corn kernels
½ Cup
Basmati Rice
1Cup
Water
1 ½ Cup
Salt
1tsp
Pepper (optional)
½ tsp

Preparation :

# Soak Basmati rice in water for 20 mins.
# Refreeze sweet corn kernels at room temperature(If you have frozen).
# Chop onions,wash mint leaves

Cook in Medium Flame

1.Heat a cooker pan,add oil,ghee/butter,cinnamon,cloves,cardamom,bay leaf,green chilli,onion.Fry till onion gets light brown then add mint leaves,ginger garlic paste,fry for a min.


2.Add sweet corn kernels,fry for a min,add rice and water & salt.Make it to boil.


3.After it starts boil,simmer the flame to low,close the lid immediately and wait for 1whistle.Switch Off.


After pressure releases,just sprinkle pepper powder and fluff it with Fork.

Sweet Corn Pulao is Ready...!


Serve it with any Fry Or Dry Curry.

Notes :
1.I used Frozen sweet corn.
2.Add very less amount of pepper powder otherwise it dominates corn flavour.
3.Adding Mint / Coriander leaves gives nice flavour.
4.You can also use 2tbsp of cashew paste.
5.Cooking basmati rice differ by every home.I always use above method,it comes out perfectly every time.
{You can also pressure cook for 3whistles after adding rice and water but cook in medium flame(no need to wait till it boils)}
