Whole Wheat Coconut Cookies

Whole Wheat Cookies are one of the most favourite cookies for Gautham.I used to bake this often at home when i saw this recipe in sangeeta's spicy treats last year.To have this healthy and yummy cookies,you just need 30mins.Adding coconut gives nice flavour and texture to the cookies.I baked this cookies 3days back,it tastes so good.My Man and Gautham loves it a lot.

Whole Wheat Coconut Cookies :
Thats It : Add ings. - Prepare Dough - Shape Cookies - Bake
Preparation Time : 15mins
Baking Time : 15mins

Ingredients :
Whole Wheat Flour                3/4Cup
All Purpose Flour / Maida      1/4Cup
Powdered Sugar                      1/3Cup
Unmelted Butter (unsalted)    1/4Cup 
Dessicated Coconut                1/4Cup + 2tbsp for topping
Vanilla Essence                       1/4tsp
Boiled Milk                             1/4Cup- [ room temperature]
Procedure :

# Measure all the ings. needed.
# Powder the measured amount of sugar using mixie.
# Preheat the oven at 180degC/350degF.(before shaping the cookies)
# Grease the baking tray with butter or lay them with parchment/butter paper/foil.

1.Melt the required quantity of butter.Take it in a wide bowl.

2.Add powdered sugar,vanilla essence into a bowl,beat it using whisk until light and creamy. 

3.Now add dessicated coconut, mix it roughly and add sifted whole wheat flour, maida into it.

4.Roughly mix it,it looks crumble in texture,gradually add milk and form a dough.

5.Now divide the dough into small sized balls,if possible use one spoon/scooper to get same sized cookies.Roll the small ball without any cracks,then flatten it. 

6.Take dessicated coconut in a wide plate,place the cookie dough above the dessicated coconut.Slightly press it,shake it to remove the excess coconut gratings.

7.Arrange it on the baking tray with little space among all.Keep it inside the preheated oven and bake it for 12-15mins or until sides of the cookies start browning.Take it out and cool down the cookies.

Initially it looks soft in texture and after cooling down,it becomes crispy.Store it in air-tight container.It stays good for a week at room temperature.

Healthy Whole Wheat Coconut Cookies are ready !!!

Notes :
1.Adding Maida is optional,you can also use whole one cup of whole wheat.You can also use 50% whole wheat flour & 50% Maida.
