Banana Pancake l Eggless Banana Pancake l Quick Breakfast for kids l Selva's Kitchen



Pancakes are eaten by Greeks and Romans,sweeteed with honey;the elizebethans ate them flavoured with spices,rosewater,sherry and apples.They were traditionally eaten in quantity on Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day,a day of feasting and partying before the beginning of Lent.This will be your quick,healthy and filling breakfast recipe for sure.

Pancakes are always kids favourite food.If they are getting bored of regular idly ,dosa routines then this will be the better and healthy option for them.You can add chocochips and banana in regular pancake batter.Serve it with honey,jam and a cup of milk/juice.


Banana Pancake :
Thats It : Make Batter - Add Mashed Banana - Cook On Tawa
Total Time : 20mins
Serves : 7Banana pancakes


Ingredients :

All Purpose Flour        1/2Cup
Whole Wheat Flour     1/2Cup
Ripen Banana(Long)   1
Milk                             1Cup
(i have taken boiled,cooled milk)
Sugar / Brown Sugar    2tbsp
Salt                               1/4tsp
Baking Powder            1tsp
Vanilla Essence            1tsp
Oil / Melted Butter       1tbsp
Chocochips                   2tbsp (optional)

Butter                           2tsp(for greasing)

Procedure :

1.Peel off the banana skin and add into the bowl,mash it well.


2.Add Sugar into the milk or directly into the bowl.Now add flour,baking powder,salt,vanilla essence,melted butter into the bowl.



3.Slowly whisk it well for the better mix.


4.Heat a tawa in low-medium flame,grease it with butter,add a scoop of batter and do not spread it,let it spread by themself.Cook for 30-40secs till upper side becomes cooked holes,then slowly flip over and cook for 30secs.Serve it.


Serve it with honey,jam and a cup of milk/juice.

Notes : 
1.You can add chocochips with the batter which is the best combo with banana.
2.You can add sugar into the flour instead of mixing in milk.
3.You can add 100% of all purpose flour and make pancakes.For the healthier version,i replace it with 50% of whole wheat flour.
